So part of my soul curriculum is learning how to use technology. At least it seems so, because it makes good sense to make my knowledge available to more people who can benefit.
Since I was very young I have been exposed to and for a number of years even lived a very natural focused life. For example I knew certain “weeds” were great to cook with and it was my job to gather the ones my mom requested. The huge garden was where I spent a lot of time, digging, weeding, making “water ways” and floating leaf boats. Barefoot, in the sun all day, my dog and I knew every inch of our acre and the neighbors old orchard lot. It was even my privilege to flush the sedimentation tanks until clear water flowed, fun entertainment on a hot summer day.
I spent a lot of time outdoors, we lived in the country so doing that was natural. My mom had very few “chemicals” in our home, no sun screen so I was a very tanned child by the end of September. “No chemicals” extended to our food and most of our cleaning supplies. Clothes were predominately cotton or wool, shoes were leather, except for church clothes fancy synthetic material was worn on rare occasion(that was made from “chemicals”). In the age of fantastic polyester double knit fabric for all the latest styles, I can count on one hand the synthetic outfits I owned. Thanks to a fashionable aunt who pitied that I wasn’t dressed in the latest style.
Now only the most elite fashion has stayed free of synthetics with a price point well above even well-to-do pocket books. Coming around again is a movement to create healthy not harmful personal environments and clothes. I stand whole heartedly with this sentiment.
As my mother would say “NO CHEMICALS”.
